This talk presented a new approach to solve problems of cryptanalysis of symmetric as well as public key algorithms, based on the solution of the problem of inversion of maps in cartesian products over finite fields (specialised to binary fields) and inversion of sequences. The approach utilises only the black box operation of the map — it does not depend on the algebraic or Boolean model, and is not a brute force search or its variation. This leads to a uniform methodology for diverse cryptanalysis problems.
