The Faculty Updation Program (FUP) on Wireless Security aims to equip educators and researchers with advanced knowledge and practical skills in wireless security, malware analysis, and critical infrastructure protection. Objective

The Faculty Updation Program (FUP) on Wireless Security aims to empower educators and researchers with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills in wireless security, malware analysis, and critical infrastructure protection. The program is designed to:

1. Enhance teaching methodologies by integrating real-world examples and case studies.
2. Equip participants with the technical know-how to implement and teach advanced security mechanisms.
3. Foster research-oriented learning in the domains of wireless security.

Eligibility Criteria and Prerequisites:

  • Faculty members and students from academia can apply.
  • Security professionals, engineers, and executives from the industry are also eligible to apply.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks and familiarity with Linux environment is a prerequisite.

  • Follow the steps and instructions given below to participate in the FUP:

  • Apply for FUP program on the IVP portal: ISEA Event
  • Application deadline: 10th Nov 2025.
  • Once you fill out the application form, you'll get an email with a link for a basic assessment on Computer Networks and Linux environment. It will take approx 20 minutes to complete the test. Please complete the assessment within 2-3 days of applying.
  • Based on your performance in the assessment and availability of seats, a subset of candidates will be shortlisted for participating in the program. You will get an email from isea@iith.ac.in with further instructions about the payment of registration fee.
  • Registration fee: Rs. 1000/- for faculties and working professionals. It is Rs. 500/- for students and research scholars. It covers training materials, lunch & refreshments during 5 days.
  • Lastly, you can book accommodation at IITH hostels. All the related details will be shared on this webpage in due course of time for the selected candidates.
  • Limited seats available, application will be open until all the seats are filled or till 10th Nov (whichever comes first).
  • Note that there can be scope of possible future collaborations.
  • Please check your emails (inbox & junk folder) which you provided during the application process frequently, as all future communications will be through the email only.
  • Note that participants will have to manage accommodation, breakfast and dinner on their own.

Hostel Accommodation

Hostel accommodation can be availed on payment for the selected candidates attending the FUP on Wireless Security 2025.

  • Facilities Provided: Cot, Table, Chair, Mattress, Bedsheet, Blanket, and Pillow
We will provide lunch, refreshments, and training materials.
However, breakfast and dinner will be your responsibility and can be purchased from student dining halls near the hostel blocks.

Registration Fee Payment:

Note that filling up the google form ensures the booking of your hostel room. You have to pay the accomodation fees (Rs. 350 per day) to the hostel office upon arrival.

How to Register

  1. Fill out the Google Form to register.
  2. Most of the fields are mandetory. Fill the google form carefully.
  3. While filling time of arrival and depurture, you may fill tentative timing.
